The first half of 2024 has been an incredible journey for HARA, featuring numerous standout projects, dynamic events, and exciting collaborations.

Products & Projects:
PERTAHARA (Perempuan Tani Harapan Rakyat)
PERTAHARA program focused on two principal activities; Pilot Plan Project Malang and Plant Research.
Pilot Plan Project Malang is a cultivation activity held by our Field Officers in Malang, Indonesia. We planted Bird’s Eye Chili and Lettuce on a 2500 m2 field.
Plant Research aims to determine our suitable cultivation systems and yield potential of various plants when grown in polybags. Currently we focused on Birds Eye Chilli and Nagami Kumquat.
2. Research Project KalTim
Research Project Kaltim aims to explore the potential of agriculture initiatives by women's groups in Belangon District, East Kutai, to reduce household dependence on coal mining. This research will be a collaboration between Parahyangan Catholic University, Just Transition Indonesia Foundation, Energi Muda Foundation, HARA and grant research from Bank Indonesia.
3. Insurance Project Pilot
HARA collaborated with an insurance company to test HARA Apps in tobacco insurance in 12 tobacco fields by 2 Field Officers to assess ease of use, effectiveness, and user satisfaction.
Usability testing is carried out on the main features of the application, including insurance registration, reporting plant damage, and insurance claims.
4. Kartini Indonesia Project
Kartini Tani Indonesia Project is an initiative created by BenihBaik and Pupuk Indonesia aimed at strengthening the role of women as drivers of community welfare and food security through agriculture. This project employs an empowerment scheme, encouraging women's groups to expand the implementation of sustainable agriculture by delivering training and workshops. HARA had an opportunity to act as facilitator for Focus Group Discussion (FGD) program and training.
5. Traceability Platform
HARA Traceability leverages blockchain technology to provide unparalleled visibility and transparency in the agricultural supply chain. This system enables precise tracking and documentation of every stage in the production, distribution, and sales processes of agricultural products, aiming to enhance efficiency and quality.
HARA Traceability provides two platform;
Upstream; For profiling farmers and land data
2. Downstream; Visualization traceability of company’s supply chain process (Comply with EUDR)
Events and Activities:
Webinar HARA
HARA webinar has been successfully held in total four times aimed at providing education about agriculture and technology to the audience, especially students, as well as increasing awareness. This webinar was held online via Zoom platform for approximately one hour and included discussion of the material by HARA internal team as well within question-and-answer session.
2. Kelas Pembelajaran HARA
HARA Learning Class is a regular event held every Friday, where various topics related to agriculture and its practical applications are discussed with our Agronom. This class is open to the public and can be accessed for free via online.
