HARA’s Quarterly Recap: July — September 2021

Updated: Nov 26, 2021

Hi Hara Squad! For HARA, the third quarter of 2021 has been filled with many amazing events, new initiatives, and projects. During these last three months, HARA CEO, Regi Wahyu, and CTO, Imron Zuhri, also continued to spread knowledge about HARA and our social impacts on various platforms, such as Pasar Sakti Virtual Event and the Oxford Talk.

But here are a few of our honorable mentions: Not only did we scale up our Pancasila Ginger Project, but we also launched HARA’s first-ever HARA Token Buyback and Burn!

There are still so many more and we are so excited to share all the details with you so let’s get right to it!

I. Project Progress

An Update on Pancasila Ginger Project

3 months after the launch of the Pancasila Ginger Project, HARA has completed the third batch of ginger planting in September 2021. The total of ginger planting that is conducted for every batch is 15.000 ginger buds, with the target of 250 ginger planted per farmer.

In total, by the end of September 2021, 182 farmers have successfully planted 45.000 ginger buds, with 60 farmers already on the monitoring process for batch 1 and 59 farmers for the second batch.

HARA is Scaling Up with PERTAHARA!

Starting from its fourth batch, the Pancasila Ginger Project will be scaled up with a more digitalized aspect behind it. Therefore, we are proud to introduce our newest initiative: Perempuan Tani Harapan Rakyat (Women’s Farmers as the People’s Hope), also known as PERTAHARA. PERTAHARA is a movement that is dedicated in increasing women’s empowerment in villages around Indonesia.

On the operational side, PERTAHARA will be increasing the target amount of ginger planted from 15.000 to 25.000 per batch. As of 30th September 2021, 48 farmers have joined the movement and they have started the fourth batch by planting 17.000 ginger buds.

Currently, our team is preparing an application that is set to be launched by the end of the last quarter of 2021. The PERTAHARA application will focus on collecting data on important PERTAHARA information such as registration, (data collection on agripreneurs and their farmers), data collection on receiving ginger seeds, monitoring data collection, and data collection at harvest time.

HARA Token 1st Ever Buyback & Burn!

For the last 3 months, HARA has not only been focused on our field operations but also has been growing its Token Economy projects for our investors and token holders. Therefore, as a form of appreciation, HARA created The HARA Token Buyback & Burn. This program was launched with the goal of helping manage the supply and demand chain as well as gradually creating scarcity for HART with the hope that it will stabilize its price.

HARA will buyback HART from the market and burn them quarterly to reduce the amounts that are circulating in the market. For this quarter, HARA has burnt 250.000 HART from our token circulation supply on Wednesday, 22 September 2021. To understand the significance of the buyback and burn, it is important to note that currently, HARA has 359,332,066 HART circulating on the market. Therefore, after the buyback and burn, the total supply in circulation is 359,082,660 HART.

II. Events

Pasar Sakti Virtual Event: How Blockchain Technology Help Farmers

On July 27th 2021, Regi Wahyu had the honor of becoming one of the key speakers for the Pasar Sakti Virtual Expo 2021 — a series of virtual events that focuses on the human resources as well as the use of technology and digitalization for Indonesian small business sector (SMEs) and startups. On this event, Regi shared about the use of blockchain technology in helping small-time farmers and here are some of his key messages:

  • HARA is not only helping to digitalize farmers but all the players in the agriculture environment, which includes middlemen, and agripreneurs.

  • Thanks to HARA, farmers’ incomes in villages where HARA is have increased by more than 30% and UMKM’s incomes have increased by up to 80%.

  • Blockchain is different from digital assets. As a blockchain-based data platform, HARA is using blockchain to ensure traceability and transparency of farmers’ data and transactions in the system.

  • HARA is focusing on projects to develop agriculture and agriculture production in Indonesia.

Passing the Baton: Indonesia’s Next Generation Social Entrepreneur

Regi Wahyu, Founder and CEO of HARA, was the keynote speaker for the Oxford Talk’s Passing the Baton: Indonesia’s Next-Generation Social Entrepreneur Conference on August 25th, 2021. Raising the topic of Addressing the Big Social Problems and the Opportunities to Make a Change, Regi shared his experience of trying to bring social systemic change for Indonesian agriculture through HARA. He brought two important points in the discussion, which is that to be a change-maker it is not enough to only do rhetoric but must be followed by being involved directly in the system and establishing intergenerational collaborations.

Halal Traceability System 101

On September 3rd, 2021, Regi Wahyu and Imron Zuhri were invited as the key speakers on an Instagram Live with KNEKS to discuss and share about the Halal Blockchain Traceability System initiative. During the live event, Regi and Imron both shared the brilliant motivation behind the initiative, which was to increase consumers’ trust in the food quality and validity provided by the poultry industry. This is also the response to the growing global awareness of food security and quality. With the use of QR codes –where all necessary data are recorded in HARA’s blockchain technology — consumers can trace the method used and that the certifications are in accordance with Indonesia’s Halal terms and conditions.

HARA x Regalia School of Entrepreneurship: Ketika Kaum Rebahan Melakukan Perubahan

Another event highlight from September is that HARA launched an online seminar that was initiated by the interns of Regalia School of Entrepreneurship on September 18th, 2021. Tackling the topic of self-improvement and self-development during an era of uncertainty, these interns shared their thoughts, experiences, and insights on how to strive for success. The online seminar also featured Amanda Normanita as the guest speaker, where she spoke on the importance of pushing one’s boundaries and limits to really achieve a changed mindset.

It has definitely been a busy 3 months, but we are pumped up to end the year with a bang!
