Also known as Field Officers (FO), PERTAHARA agripreneurs are change agents working at the grassroots level to recruit, coordinate, monitor and collect data on women farmers in the field.
PERTAHARA's are the wives of farmers who are passionate about being farmers and have the drive to help their families in earning additional income . At first, PERTAHARA successful cultivate ginger plants from 2021 to 2023. In order to expand our project, we decide to do more research and plants various type of commodities.
Agronomists are plant experts and consultants who will provide socialization and ensure that female farmers practice good agricultural practices.
PROJECT: CROWDPLANTING
What’s Crowdplanting?
Crowdplanting is a part of HARA’s business unit that focuses on helping improve the economy of farmer households, namely by utilizing their very own backyards and other non-productive land to be planted using polybags together so that farmer households can get side income from their main income as farmers on the main soil.
In this project, HARA provides assistance starting from land data collection and PERTAHARA recruitment, training in terms of planting seeds, to participation and monitoring from HARA and Agripreneurs from end to end.
What’s PERTAHARA?
PERTAHARA (Perempuan Tani Harapan Rakyat) is a women empowerment national movement that fundamentally uses crowd planting to improve the economy of farmers and increase the role of women in Indonesian agriculture. In this project, HARA will provide training and assistance in the cultivation process.
PERTAHARA is also addressing issues of poverty and inequality by creating more job prospects for women through the use of their existing resources (such as their smartphones or existing lands) and pushing forward their role as well as contribution as agripreneurs as the main actor in our ecosystem.

Learn their Stories
Mustain
HARA values inclusiveness in our ecosystem. Therefore we are open to all individuals who have high spirit and fighting power. One of the inspiring individuals is Mr. Mustain. His persistence to become digitally literate and help PERTAHARA farmers is an inspiration and testimony that there are no boundaries (physical or otherwise) that prevents someone from becoming an agent of change.
Mbah Kasir
A growth mindset can be for everyone.
This is what Mbah Kasir has shown to HARA: that age is not an obstacle to one's enthusiasm to learn and become a PERTAHARA farmer. Since joining PERTAHARA, Mbah Kasir has shown that diligence, perseverance and a progress-oriented mindset are important elements in any job and are required characteristics as a role model.
